Who is SuomiAreena for?


SuomiAreena is for everyone. It is Finland’s largest societal festival, bringing together citizens, societal thinkers and decision-makers.

Is SuomiAreena free to attend?

SuomiAreena takes place in open urban space, and stage programs are free to watch. All discussions can also be viewed for free on MTV’s Katsomo streaming service.

Are the seating areas covered?


All stages have a covered section. Please note that covered seating space is still limited.

Are there seats?


Yes, every official stage has seating.

Can seats be reserved?


No, seating is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

What else happens at SuomiAreena besides discussions?


In addition to the official stage program, Pori fills with music, community art, receptions, mingles, and sports events such as football, padel and baseball matches. Local businesses are actively involved. There is plenty to see and experience for everyone!

How are the food and beverage options


The festival takes place in the centre of Pori, so local restaurants are easy to access. More information about food and water points will be provided closer to the festival.

Can discussions be filmed or photographed?


Photography in public spaces (such as streets, parks and shopping centres) is legal in Finland and protected under freedom of expression. You don’t need a separate permission.
